The High Times Cannabis Cup is a cannabis festival sponsored by High Times magazine. The event features judges from around the world who sample and vote for their favorite marijuana varieties, with cups (trophies) being awarded to the overall winner in the cannabis variety competition.

Founded in 1988 by High Times editor Steven Hager, the Cannabis Cup is usually held each November in Amsterdam. The first U.S. Cannabis Cup was held in 2010; High Times now holds Cannabis Cups in Northern and Southern California, Denver, Michigan, and Seattle. - Wikipedia

The High Times Cannabis Cup Michigan: People’s Choice Edition is aimed to identify and award the best cannabis products in all of Michigan, all across a wide range of different categories, all to be judged by the great people of The Great Lakes State.

This event will be the fourth-ever competition that is open to the Michigan public and will see the largest pool of judges in history. In fact, this will be the largest Cannabis Cup in High Times history overall! This is a sampling dream to get your products into the hands of hundreds of new customers who will provide feedback on your entries, plus thousands of impressions. May the best products win!

Judging

Judges will analyze the products in their kits through a variety of criteria. For Flower, Pre-rolls, Vape Pens, and Concentrates, judges will take note of a product’s aesthetics, aroma/scent, taste/flavor profile, burnability, effects/effectiveness, and terpene profile. Edibles have a slightly different list of considerations, including packaging and labeling. Finally, Topicals, Tinctures + Capsules judges are asked to review the “ease of use” in addition to other criteria. - High Times
