Methodology

To start, I smoked a .75 gram cone of each entry in numberical order. I took notes on each entry keeping all 6 categories in mind:

• Best Overall
• Best Tasting
• Best Terps
• Heaviest Hitting
• Gassiest
• Best Looking

I scrutinized each entry, adding the best representatives to each category in my notes.

I then went through each entry again in a .75 gram cone once more. Reconfirming or adding new notes to each entry.

With the remainder of each entry, I smoked them by category. For instance, I smoked all entries in my short list for “gassiest” to confirm the winner for that category. I did this until I had a winner for each category.

Best Overall

The best in show. This one was a strange vote for me. The entry I chose didn’t win any other category, but was above average in all of them. Combined, I think this is what edged this entry to winning.

Best Tasting

This category had the most competition. The entry I picked for this one had one of the most unique tastes I’ve found in my terp search. The smell and the flavor reminded me of a pina coloda. It was unique and refreshing and stayed with me after the first puff.

Best Terps

The categories of best tasting & best terps can easily be considered the same thing. I differentiated them by picking the strongest taste that stuck around the length of the joint for best terps. This one was love at first puff. It was the first entry I smoked and had such a satisfying, strong taste, that I was reminded of it throughout this process.

Heaviest Hitting

This one I rated on how hard the entry hit my chest and how high it got me. Entry 11 hit both of those in strides, and combined it with a super fruity taste.

Gassiest

This is for all the O.G. lovers. I was looking for that stinky, stanky, funk for this category. The winner here was loud, and smelled like a gym bag (in a good way).

Best Looking

This one was the easiest vote for me. To me, this is clearly the best looking entry with this (at least) 2 gram, single nug beauty. Nothing compared in terms of nug girth, trichome glisten, or manicuring.
