This is a collaboration between Detroiter & “lifestyle consultant” of We The Best (DJ Khaled): Chris Smokes. He teamed up with Fear of Boof & HI TECH to create his Candy & Gas strains.

Purchased at King of Budz for $60/each.

Fear of Boof & HI TECH

For his first drop, Chris Smokes trusted West-Coast based Fear of Boof & HI TECH to collobarate with.

They are most known for their coveted Popperz (Lemon, Cherry, Bubblegum) & Mega Z (Blue & Dark) series.

Both being well known, quality brands in California, as well as Michigan.

Who Grew It?

As we know, Zenith Ventures Lansing grows all Fear of Boof as well as Doja drops in the state of Michigan.

This drop is no exception.

• Small nugs.
• Breaks down into angel feathers.

👃 Smell

• Creamy, candy.

👅 Taste

• Sweet inhale.
• Creamy, slightly gassy exhale.
• Super smooth.
• Taste throughout.

Rating

If you’ve got a sweet tooth, this is the one for you!

The taste was sweet, but less like a fruity candy (Runtz) and more like the sweetness of baked goods.

Reminded me of the strain: Sweet Retreat released from Doja (which comes from the same grower: Zenith Ventures Lansing).

I wouldn’t be suprised if it came from the same genetics or was a cross.

Aside from that, the taste is pretty unique.

The nugs were small (as is to be expected by Zenith drops at this point), but the quality was great.

The flavor was present throughout and was super smooth.

• Spicy, sweet, earthy.

👅 Taste

• Gassy inhale.
• Sweet, light candy exhale.

Rating

With petro & diesel terps, this strain takes a different approach than the Candy drop.

Rather than fresh baked goods, this one is like putting your mouth to a car’s exhaust.

The flavors give you the typical gassy notes, but has a unique twist.

There is also a light sweetness that shines briefly in the aftertaste.

While the taste wasn’t quite as strong as the Candy, it still delivered.

For this strain the naming was spot on, because THIS is:

Outro

Candy & gas are probably my favorite flavors in flower.

Both of these strains give a fair representation of how those flavors are expressed in cannabis.

Interestingly, there is a bit of candy & gas flavors in both strains. They just tilt in different ways.

The Candy is 80% sweet; 20% gassy, while the Gas is 80% gassy: 20% sweet.

As Chris Smokes appears to be a flashy character, who enjoys the finer things, this drop follows suit.

At $60, this is the top of the price spectrum. But if you want to splurge and treat yourself, give these a shot.
