Review (x2): Pincanna x Peninsula Gardens - Motorbreath & Sherb Pie
By Gas & Middies
Today we are reviewing two live resin products from a collaboration between two Michigan based brands: Pincanna & Peninsula Gardens.
Pincanna x Peninsula Gardens
This collaboration includes 5 strains:
- Sherb Pie
- Motorbreath
- Cherry Lime Runtz
- Clemendo
- Dual OG
This is live resin that comes in 3.5 gram baller jars.
Pincanna
Pincanna does it all.
They have a facility in Pinconning.
They grow flower as well as press concentrates.
They also have dispensary storefronts.
Pincanna is the producer of this product, meaning that they take the flower from Peninsula Gardens for the extraction process to turn it into live resin concentrate.

Locations
Currently, you can only get this collaboration at Pincanna locations!
Pincanna has the following locations:
Peninsula Gardens
Peninsula Gardens consistently produces 🔥 flower.
Their Sherb Pie, Runtz, & Electric Peanut Butter Cookie being my personal favorites.
They currently, however don’t press their own concentrates.
More from their About page:
Peninsula Gardens is the cumulation of 50+ years combined experience growing in the caregiver market. We came together to create a company that is true to the origins of this industry and pushback against corporate cannabis. Our goal is to constantly push ourselves and produce high end craft quality cannabis on a consistent basis. Clean burn, white ash, loud smell, and big flavor. These are all boxes we’re making sure we check run after run. We smoke what we grow and believe that extra effort we put in shines through on our end product.

This is hella good.
The consistency is great. It has a nice color.
The taste is just like the flower but amplified.
At the cost of $50 for 3.5 grams, it’s not a bad price point either.
All around a nice first impression:

@Bonez_grown cut of Seed Junky’s Sherb Cake. Ice Cream Cake x Sunset Sherbet. Beautiful purple buds that lean heavy towards the sherb smell and flavors with just enough of the cake flavor to compliment. - Peninsula Gardens

In terms of presentation, this stuff was poop soup. 💩
Runnier than a toddler’s nose. This made it an awkward consistency to consume.
The color was much darker. Which I typically don’t have a problem with as this can vary by strain. I prefer darker colors over color remediation.
The terps were there, they just weren’t boosted to the level I expected.
Sherb Pie from Peninsula Gardens is some of my favorite flower. Sherb terps are also some of my all time favorite.
Maybe my expectations were too high for the terps I received.
Paired with the presentation, sadly this is:

Outro
This was a tale as old as time… Beauty and the Beast.
Two different strains; two different consistencies.
One nice to look at; one not so much.
Look at those promo pictures (above) compared to what I got.
In flower form, I’d pick Sherb Pie every time. But in this example, the tables turn.
I still loved having the Sherb terps in concentrate form, but was overall let down compared to the Motorbreath.
With five different strains available in this collaboration, I’m sure there is quite a bit of variation between each strain. I also could have just got a bad batch of the Sherb Pie. It could have also been stored improperly (but that should have affected the Motorbreath as well).
In either case the fumble would fall on Pincanna as they both processed the product AND were the dispensary storing the product.
It’s all about consistency and in this case, I tried 2 out of 5 products, with a 50/50 gas to middies ratio.
What do you guys think?
Anyone else try this collaboration?
