Review: 710 Labs - Odder Popz #17
By Gas & Middies
Today we are reviewing a highly requested brand: 710 Labs and their Tier 1 Persy live rosin: Odder Popz #17.
Purchased at Quality Roots.
710 Labs
710 Labs is a brand with headquarters in both California & Colorado. They have a cult like following and specialize in concentrates.
I’ve reviewed their flower before, but this is my first time checking out what they are known for: concentrates.
710 has a pretty convoluted system of rankings, tiers, & terminology needed to understand their products.
I’ll explain them below:
Tiering System
710 Labs rates their products on a tiering system.
As to why they do it:
Unless you are using genetically modified cultivars, harsh pesticides, or other commercial production methods, you will always have natural variances from crop to crop, batch to batch. We strive to honestly reflect the quality of each batch by offering you four tiers of pricing.
HOW DO WE TIER?
First and foremost, we’re looking at the quality of the particular batch. Does it meet, exceed, or disappoint in flavor and effect? We’ll also take into account batch yield and cultivar demand, but like everything at 710 Labs, it all starts with terp preservation. - 710 Labs
Persy
WTF is persy?
It was suprisingly difficult to find a definition from 710 Labs, but I found it:
Products we keep for our own personal stash - it is the best of the best. Persy is that jar of hash you’ve been holding onto the last dab of for 6 months because you just don’t want it to go. It’s that nug sitting in a jar you’re saving for your birthday. It’s that pod you only let people you really care about rip at the party.
Persy is what you fuck with the most – and what we fuck with the most.
Reserved for hash that is hitting on all levels. From the grow, to harvest, to the wash, and press. And of course, those low-yielding exotics like Zkittlez or Lemon Tart Pucker. - 710 Labs
I also found this tidbit about the difference in trichomes used for the squishing process:
We focus on the squishing 40u, 90u, and 150u micron sized trichome heads for our rosin. Our 40u and 150u heads are then pressed into our Live Rosin. Our 90u, if determined to be fullmelt quality, is pressed into our Persy Rosin. - 710 Labs
TLDR: basically Tier 1 Persy rosin should be the best rosin 710 Labs offers.
Close Friends
It turns out, 710 Labs just released a new top level, Close Friends:
We had to find something to do with the very rare batches of hash that exceed our Tier 1 Persy classification. Introducing Close Friends – a super small-batch offering featuring limited artwork and numbered jars, dropping every few months in 2 Gram jars. - 710 Labs
The List
How does one get the best 710 drops?
Like getting into an exclusive night club, you gotta be on the list!
What is the list?
I joined to see what the fuss was about and received this email:
If you’re reading this, that means you have a chance to access 710 Labs’ exclusive List. And we aren’t just talking about an email List – you’re an inaugural member of The List in Michigan. Order the freshest, most exclusive hash on the Michigan rec market directly from the source.
Never heard of the List? Welcome. The List originated in California before expanding to Florida and now Michigan.
The List is the place to shop for anyone who is constantly searching for the best of the best – whether it be hash, flower, or pods. It’s where we put aside our best, most exclusive batches from each month’s production at the most accessible prices on the market. It’s the only place where you can snag 710 Labs drops straight from the source.
Every few weeks, List members in Michigan and surrounding states will receive a menu in their email, with a drop date/time included. You show up and grab what you want - and do it fast. The List usually sells out.
After the drop, you pick up your items a few days later at one of a few select retailers, when and where you pick. While you’re there to pick up, you fill out the rest of your stash at the dispensary.
In California, we limit The List to only our few, most loyal shoppers. Because you are a part of our first wave of List members in Michigan, you will be grandfathered into our program for now. . . . but that won’t last forever. The best way to stay on The List is to make a purchase at least once every 3 months.
To join The List, you have to sign up for their The Green Room, which is basically a mailing list.

This was a good first entry into 710 Labs rosin.
The crystals were gorgeous with a pale yellow gleam.
I got sweet, tropical vibes with a nice, clean smoke.
The flavor was there, but slightly less than I was expecting.
But.. she had looks and personality.
I’m a semi-believer in the hype because this was tropical:

Outro
I’m glad I tried 710 Labs rosin after being let down by their flower.
The elephant in the room however is the price. The quality is there, but is the quality better than products offered at a lower price point.
I love me some Eastside Alchemy, who produce stellar rosin and were the former ‘most expensive’ rosin brand. Is 710 better?
I can’t honestly say right now. I want to try some more strains and delve into the other tiers, to explore some cheaper options, before I make that call.
What do you guys think?
Has anyone tried any of the other tiers?
