We’re digging into their Super Hentai Series lineup with: Cherry Popperz, Lemon Popperz, & Bubblegum Popperz.

Super Dope is a lifestyle brand known for meshing anime & video games with cannabis.

They are based out in California. Apparently cultivated by Fear of Boof in Michigan. And produced by Zenith Ventures Lansing, LLC.

The Super Hentai Series (aka The Popperz Series)

The Super Hentai Series (aka The Popperz Series) attempts to carry the torch of the popular Lemon Cherry Gelato strain by taking on a unique twist. Over the years, LCG has become a global sensation with many people referencing it in many different ways but with the same expectation. Candy terps. As some serious connoisseurs, we know that this beloved strain is more than just the hype surrounding it and we wanted to deconstruct the whole LCG spectrum and profile to give you a 3 part series.

The Super Hentai Series is well known for it’s erotic, anime inspired mylars. With their instantly recognizable, art covered plastic bags which include anime stickers inside.

By their very nature, these packs are controversial:

• They feature hentai.
• They come from California.
• They retail as high as $60/eighth.

None of this has stopped the brand & series from catching people’s eyes at dispensaries.

Cherry Popperz

Cherry Popperz, leans in on the “Cherry” notes giving it a complex blend of cherry pits and the classic LCG profile. Being the first product of the first series released, we really wanted to shock the senses and we made sure not hold back on going all the way with the concept.

Lemon Popperz

As the second of the series, Lemon Popperz, leans in on the “Lemon” notes giving it an exotix blend of lemon candy terps with the “41 lemon puke” profiles. Being the first batch of the second series released, we really wanted to shock the senses and we made sure not hold back on going all the way with the concept.

As always, our packaging has pushed the boundaries of the traditional concepts and has remained one of the most controversial packagings to date. This release of Lemon Popperz was beyond sensational. None-the-less, we stand behind our vision, our execution, and the product itself and hope you do too.

Bubblegum Popperz

As the third installment of the series, Bubblegum Popperz leans in heavy on the “bubblegum” candy notes with an exotic punch of mouth watering sweet, candy terps. It took many months to locate the cultivar that would embody the very essence of its name. We tested and cycled through dozens of candidates and fell in love with the potential of this selection. Potency exceeds both Cherry and Lemon Popperz with the Bubblegum and the flowers release moisture much slower. Producing the perfect Bubblegum is an art and we will continue to oversee its developments and path to perfection.

As always, our packaging has pushed the boundaries of the traditional concepts and has remained one of the most controversial packagings to date. The release of Bubblegum Popperz was beyond sensational as we debut the strain alongside Doja Pak. None-the-less, we stand behind our vision, our execution, and the product itself and hope you do too.

It’s basically a rewards program, where you input an “authentication code” into the website, found on a scratch-off sticker on your mylar.

• Small nugs.
• Great breakdown.

👃 Smell

• Super sweet, cherry candies.
• Like a cherry forward, Lemon Cherry Gelato.

👅 Taste

• Gassy inhale, with light cherry.
• Fades to a bad aftertaste.

Let’s get this poppin'!

The nugs on this one were actually quite beautiful.

The nose was that familiar Lemon Cherry Gelato, but with the cherry taking center stage.

This sadly, is where the positives end for Cherry Popperz.

You get a little bit of that sweet cherry gelato in the first few puffs, but it quickly fades away.

A bad aftertaste then takes place of where those cherry terps used to be.

If this is your first (cherry popped!) foray into the Super Hentai Series, you’d be seriously disappointed.

Aside from the flashy mylar & presentation, the flower leaves much to be desired in terms of taste.

Not worth the ticket on this one:

• Small, dense nugs.
• Great breakdown.

👃 Smell

• Gassy, dank lemons.

👅 Taste

• Inhale gassy citrus.
• Creamy dank lemon exhale.
• Tastes like Gelonade.
• Taste throughout.

Rating

To start, everyone knows this is Gelonade.

But is it a good rendition of the strain?

The buds on this were dense, frosty, and glistening.

Smelling of dank, gassy lemons, this is a familiar flavor profile.

That smell carries directly over to taste.

Each hit giving you that gassy, citrus flavor, that I love.

I think this was a big step up from the Cherry Popperz.

• Sweet, bubblegum candy.

• Light bubblegum inhale.
• Blah exhale.

Rating

People love bubblegum terps.

Bubblegum Popperz promises this with the nose on the flower.

However, like the Cherry Popperz, the taste quickly fades away.

Leaving you with a very meh taste throughout the smoke session.

It’s not a bad aftertaste, but it’s not memorable at all. Very little bubblegum.

This one is like when you blow a big bubble of bubblegum and it pops all over your face!

Overall, for such a highly hyped brand and series, this was disappointing.

There was very little poppin’ about the Popperz.

The Lemon Popperz being the clear standout.

But 1 out of 3 isn’t very good odds for such a pricey brand.

I’d rate them the following, based on taste:

1. Lemon Popperz
2. Bubblegum Popperz
3. Cherry Popperz

The only one I’d recommend to you guys, would be the Lemon Popperz with a caveat.

The caveat being, there is better Gelonade out there.

For half the price, I’d recommend Exotic Matter or Hytek’s Gelonade over Lemon Popperz.
